Hidden Beach Villa is tucked away down a rustic lane beside the Canggu river just 100 meters from the beach and the Balinese fishing village at Canggu.

The villa looks out across the river at the bottom of the garden on to rice fields and the beach which is a regular setting for traditional Balinese ceremonies.

Early in the morning the small boat houses come alive as the local Balinese prepare their catch after a night's fishing on the reef. This is not a tourist attraction, it is part of their normal everyday life and if you are awake early enough you can go down to the beach and barter for fresh lobsters, fish & crabs, delicious seafood which can be prepared by our cook just the way you like it.

The Villa

Hidden Beach is a beautiful blend of traditional architecture thoughtfully equipped with modern luxuries and creative designs that will satisfy even the most discerning of guests. This combined with the relaxing atmosphere and great service make this villa suitable for couples, groups of friends or families.

Swimming Pool

Hidden Beach is a peaceful haven and a perfect place to relax, a far cry from the pressures of modern living. The villa has some interesting innovative features such as the unique freeform swimming pool, bordered by rocks and lush tropical gardens. The water bubbles into a shallow children's pool and then overflows into the deeper lap pool which meanders towards the overflow at the river end, giving the effect of flowing into the river. The addition of a children's pool enables families with small ones to enjoy the main pool and keep an eye on the kids.

The Garden

The garden has many shady places to sit and relax including comfortable teak loungers with parasol or lazy hammock strung between two coconut palms; these are both located beside the swimming pool.

Lounge Pavilion

The large circular shaped lounge pavilion which catches the ocean breezes is used as the main dining and social area. Equipped with a stereo system and on the plans for late 2003 is a bar.

Observation Decks

There is a 15 meter tower with a sturdy wooden staircase that leads up to two observation decks. The first is used as an elevated dining terrace and has ocean views, the top deck has a double matress, telephone and lights and is sometimes used by our more adventurous guests as a fifth open-air bedroom or meditation room. The ocean views from this observation room are well worth the climb.

Bedrooms

Hidden Beach has four bedrooms; three stylish air conditioned suites arranged as separate pavilions plus an adjoining bedroom next to the master suite which has its own shower room. Each suite comes complete with Satellite TV, a stereo and a Mini Bar with tea and coffee making facilities, plus a telephone. All phones are routed through an exchange so inter-room conversations are possible; there is also a number for the kitchen, so ordering food has never been easier, even from the observation deck. In addition each bedroom has a private bathroom which is either ensuite or adjoining. In addition three of the suites are equipped with plunge pools.

The master bed is in the central pavilion on a mezzanine level directly above a private lounge. Next to this room is a separate bedroom with an ensuite shower room. This bedroom also has its own private entrance, useful for families with children. The remaining two bedroom suites are in stand alone pavilions just a short walk through the gardens. 

Standing in front of the master bedroom facing the swimming pool, turn to your right and there is the second bedroom pavilion. This pavilion has a spacious ensuite bathroom and a private plunge pool with small sundeck bordered by a lotus pond. To your left is the large semi-open lounge/dining pavilion, the central gathering point for the villa.

Riverside Suite (Our Favorite)

Down beside the river is the last bedroom suite. This riverside suite is on two levels and comes equipped with a cave style bathroom, private plunge pool, sundeck, small garden, BBQ area. The first floor bedroom has its own private terrace from where you can see the beach and ocean.

On the ground floor you will discover a cozy massage corner complete with fans and a curtain for privacy. The ground floor of this pavilion is often used as a dining area, and makes a great venue for a BBQ. This pavilion has its own private entrance so can be rented separately from the rest of the villa. A perfect place for couples looking for an affordable romantic hideaway.

Villa Facilities & Services

Balinese hospitality, smiles and attentive service guarantee that your stay will be a memorable one. Our qualified staff are at your disposal to serve when needed, and are receptive to guests with special needs. Special diets can also be catered for with proper notice.

All food and beverages can be ordered via our staff who will purchase and prepare everything; all you need do is pay for the ingredients.  Our cooks are specialized in preparing traditional Indonesian Rijsttafel this is a traditional buffet containing 10 to 15 separate delicacies.

Besides Indonesian food a variety of western foods and other Asian dishes can be prepared, specific wishes included. If you need a dinner on arrival then simply send us an e-mail a few days beforehand and cook will prepare.

Entertainment

For your entertainment two of the bedroom suites at the villa are equipped with CD/VCD & MP3 players for use with your personal discs. Satellite TV with over 30 channels is also standard here. 

Some of Bali's finest restaurants are located in the fashionable Seminyak district which is only 15 minutes drive away. This area is home to Bali's finest dining experiences with well-renowned places such as Ku De Ta, Toscana, Gado Gado, Warisan, Hu'u bar and Mikono's Greek Taverna to name but a few.

Locally the famous Tugu Hotel is only 200 meters along the beach. Here you can enjoy authentic Indonesian cuisine in a traditional setting and outside guests are always welcome here.

If you want to travel to Kuta or further afield to explore the island then a new model air-conditioned car and English speaking driver can be rented for an extra US$ 45 per day  (The price at Toyota Bali for the same model car is US$ 60+ per day!) Our car is fully licensed and insured to carry passengers and comes with a courteous  driver, front and rear seatbelts and a CD player so you can listen to your favorite discs.

Surrounding Area

The villa has two beach bikes so guests can explore the surrounding countryside, there are also two Boogie Boards for guests who want to test the surf. The surfing beach of Canggu is one of the few good surf spots on Bali. 

The fishermen on the beach will rent their boats for less than US$10 per hour to anyone who wants to join a mornings fishing on the reef or sight sailing to see the famous temple just along the coast at Tanah Lot.  

For those in search of more leisurely pursuits there is horseback riding on the beach or if you prefer walking then you can choose between the beach or the rice fields with a maze of trails leading to nearby villages.

Spa Treatments

A soothing massage or spa treatment can be easily arranged in the privacy of Hidden Beach Villa. Indovillas has a unique agreement with one of the local spa's to provide an in-house service. Reservations for massages or spa treatments should ideally be booked at least 24 hrs in advance.
